The purpose of the Centre is to provide occupational safety training for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) personnel at work places and to meet their information requirements on OHS.

Publishing Activities

The Centre´s product catalogue has over 200 titles: books, booklets, video programmes and slide series.

• OHS risk assessment
• occupational accident prevention
• psychosocial work environment
• well being at work
  

Training

Target groups: occupational health and safety personnel, members of co-operation committees, management, personnel administration and planners. The Centre organises about 200 courses (external and in-company) per year.

Short courses, duration 1-5 days, information briefings, ½ day:

• basic training on occupational safety
• special items on occupational safety
• one day courses covering current topics
• promotion of the work ability and well being at work 
• quality and productivity linked to occupational safety

In addition to the training courses, special tailor made courses for individual workplaces are also organised and held.

The basic courses are mainly held by the Centre´s own personnel, for special training outside specialists are also used.

Register of Occupational Safety Personnel

The Centre for Occupational Safety maintains the Register of Health and Safety Personnel.

The register comprises  the contact information of about 57 000 persons involved in  occupational health and safety in private and local government organisations.
